Question

Somewhere, either here or another site I seem to remember a post referring to getting a court order for the VA to take action?

"I went through a door but forget what was on the other side .I would go through it again but I forgot which door it is."

Yes, its called a "Writ of Mandamus" filed at the CAVC. A Writ is an extraordinary measure, not to be used when an appeal will do. You need to exhaust all other means of relief before filing a writ. This would include filing, a "Notice of Intent to File a Writ of Mandamus".

If you have tried everything else, only then file a writ.
