Question
teejay53
I have a question and would like someone's advice. Thank you
My 60th birthday is in January and I have read that it's best to apply for my deceased husband's SS a few months before my 60th birthday to give SS time to process.
I receive SS disability and also receive DIC as he was a disabled veteran at this time.
My question is: I have all my documents I require except the following
Deceased worker's W-2 forms or federal self-employment tax return for the most recent year.
Since I already receive SS disability (I already draw from his retirement) will I be required to have his W-2 forms or tax return. The SS did not ask me for his W-2 or tax return when I was granted my current SS Survivor check or DIC.
Again Thank You for your help.
