Claim Moved To Preparation For Notification

Rate this question

Question

Forgive me if this is posted in the wrong forum, but can someone give me an idea of how long a claim decision takes to be prepared and mailed in the Preparation for Notification phase? Also, is the decision posted on the Ebenefits site, and, if yes, how long does that take after the claim moves into this phase for it to be posted.......and does it contain the same documents that they mail to you?

Thanks in advance.

The time it takes for a claim decision to be prepared is different for everyone and has no standard time frame as far as I know. The decision isn't posted anywhere that I know of but several members use their VA letters the check for a change in payment amount on the Benefit Verification Letter (AB8) and then the % disability on the Commissary letter (AB3). Those letters usually change when the claim goes to Complete in eBenefits.

BLUF: No one knows how long anything takes because there is no standard. Hope this helps.
