    Have Questions? Get Answers.

Tips on posting on the forums.

    1. Post a clear title like ‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery instead of ‘I have a question.

    2. Knowledgeable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title.
I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on.

    3. Use paragraphs instead of one massive, rambling introduction or story.

Again – You want to make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph, there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.

    Leading too:

exclamation-point.pngPost straightforward questions and then post background information.

    Examples:

    • Question A. I was previously denied for apnea – Should I refile a claim?
      • Adding Background information in your post will help members understand what information you are looking for so they can assist you in finding it.
Rephrase the question: I was diagnosed with apnea in service and received a CPAP machine, but the claim was denied in 2008. Should I refile?

    • Question B. I may have PTSD- how can I be sure?
      • See how the details below give us a better understanding of what you’re claiming.
Rephrase the question: I was involved in a traumatic incident on base in 1974 and have had nightmares ever since, but I did not go to mental health while enlisted. How can I get help?

This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”

You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons … Continue reading

Associated Press| by Michael Biesecker and Lolita C. Baldor

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - An Army brigadier general who served five combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan has been charged with forcible sodomy, multiple counts of adultery and having inappropriate relationships with several female subordinates, two U.S. defense officials said Wednesday.

The defense officials spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to provide details on the case.

Brig. Gen. Jeffrey A. Sinclair faces possible courts martial on charges that include forced sex, wrongful sexual conduct, violating an order, possessing pornography and alcohol while deployed, and misusing a government travel charge card and filing fraudulent claims"

I cried this morning when I read this article.

http://news.yahoo.com/details-misbehavior-emerge-sentencing-brigadier-general-jeffrey-sinclair-144245194.html;_ylt=AwrTWfxzTCxTeVcAheDQtDMD

I haven't been following the case; I avoid the news about this kind of topic. But this was on the radio this morning, so I looked it up.

I don't know what happened, but I heard the words "plea bargain" and "demanded photographs". I can't believe the man is innocent.

I do believe that this will make it harder and far less likely that victims will speak up. I feel like any progress that has been made in victims advocacy has been lost and we are back to the "good old days".

There are no words to express my outrage or the abysmal depth of my sense of loss. We are abandoned.

If he had been a PFC they would have put him in jail for 10 years. Now the bastard gets to retire and keep his pension. He can now get a job in the defense industry and give his wife a STD. There is just no way in the world the military can give justice to its members if they wear stars. A 20 grand fine and a reprimand in his record is a joke. He was allowed to retire instead of being given some LTH discharge and loss of pension. The sexual criminals are not locked up in jail but are running the military.

John's right. This dirt bag makes me want to puke. He'll probably be appointed as a cabinet minister.
