Just got a call that VA is setting up an appointment for me to see a doctor

regarding my IHD claim. I wonder if there is anything I should do before

seeing the doctor. Any advice would be most appreciated.

You may want to write down a brief history of how and when your IHD started and any symptoms you may have had prior to the actual diagnosis. Also, I would recommend taking a copy of any recent medical testing you may have had.

I agree. If you have any medical records at all for your heart, you need to take them with you. I would include records when you start having heart problems all the way up to the present. Say, if you have any echo reports etc., jut take them also. This way you have a starting point before going to the VA and they will be able to see your true and current condition.
