Tips on posting on the forums.

    1. Post a clear title like ‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery instead of ‘I have a question.

    2. Knowledgeable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title.
I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on.

    3. Use paragraphs instead of one massive, rambling introduction or story.

Again – You want to make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph, there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.

    Leading too:

exclamation-point.pngPost straightforward questions and then post background information.

    Examples:

    • Question A. I was previously denied for apnea – Should I refile a claim?
      • Adding Background information in your post will help members understand what information you are looking for so they can assist you in finding it.
Rephrase the question: I was diagnosed with apnea in service and received a CPAP machine, but the claim was denied in 2008. Should I refile?

    • Question B. I may have PTSD- how can I be sure?
      • See how the details below give us a better understanding of what you’re claiming.
Rephrase the question: I was involved in a traumatic incident on base in 1974 and have had nightmares ever since, but I did not go to mental health while enlisted. How can I get help?

This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”

You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons … Continue reading

Mine is doing the same thing. I was a little worry, cause I thought it was only mine. But as I can see it's not personal. It's the system. Don't worry we'll be ok....

Hopefully they are making a big update, the last one they did, my dates were all jacked up. Went from Close date 11/12 and pushed up to 2014?

Maybe this update will correct all the recent incorrect changes.

Happy Vets day to all!

Patriotn11, I hope your right cause they also had all my stuff jack up! I was Pending Notification, then went to Review Of Evidence what the heck.

My stuff is due to deferred contentions that they didn't rate the first time around. I don't know what's up with the VA, but they need to get their stuff together!!

Happy Veterans Day....

donh777 - Just a heads up. Mine was Prep for Decision. Then C&P scheduled, and now I am back in Gathering of Evidence after the C&P, and close date moved from May 2013 to May 2014. So be prepared they will probably use this as an excuse to delay your file too. These are deferred issues initially claimed Oct. 2010, (formal claim Jan 2011). So they are just dragging thier feet..IMO

and this was the THIRD C&P for same issues...the exam hasn't changed, and is still not fact finding in my opinion. So I don't know why they keep sending me to the same C&P examiner to have the same exam done, and not making a decision on my claim. When I was sent to UNC for this condition to a uro/gyn specialist she did a specific set of tests to determine my level of prolapse/incontinence/ect. This Dr. isn't doing the exam the correct way, so I'm not sure how she can even view my prolapse when she is holding my bladder up with the speculum? (Supposed to put it in sideways I was told so that you can view the prolapse) Anyway, it's frustrating. Hoping they will finally send me to a specialist. Going this morning to request my C&P notes...
