Question

Is there anyone out here that have gotten out within the last 2 years that has gotten approved for 100% for an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator. I'm still on active duty and retiring in 6 months. I have inquired before, but, I'm confused. Help.

1 Ventricular arrhythmias (sustained):

For indefinite period from date of hospital admission for initial evaluation and medical therapy for a sustained ventricular arrhythmia, or; for indefinite period from date of hospital admission for ventricular aneurysmectomy, or; with an automatic implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (AICD) in place

I got it...thanks. Hopefully I do not have to go back and forth with the VA over this. Thanks.

Any resolution for you. I am retiring in May 2014 and have an ICD. Just wondering if anyone is having any issues?

I am shocked you are not med boarded out. You must know someone. You wil be rated 100 percent when you get out. The Cardioverter is the key.

I have a AICD and approved recently for presumptive for Thailand for Herbicide /AO. They rated me at 30 % for IHD. The AICD was all over my records . I would highly suggest you make sure they done miss this . I now have to do a CUE after 2.5 years of waiting. JC
