Dro Timeline For Decision Phase

After final C&P exams are completed per request of DRO in the preparation for decision phase, about how long does it take to rate the case assuming all other requirements are met? Just asking to get an idea as to how much longer My family and i will need to hold our collective breaths before we can exhale and awake from this long beuraucratic nightmare. We reached the preparation for decision phase in August 2012, then the DRO requested a few more C&P's. completed those at end of November. Hospital/ vfw and all others in the know say it was the last barrier. Any insight would be most appreciated.

I don't think there is any way to know, but sooner rather than later probably since you have had your C&P exams.

just hang in there. No way to tell and some RO are really backlogged. Keep an eye on your bank account as it will probably arrive there first. GOOD LUCK. I completed my c & P on 11-19 12 and I filed in Muskogee, Okla.

Appreciate that buddy, I'm in Columbia, sc and I hope it really does show up in the bank first...for mine as well as yours. And sooner rather than later too. Always good to know another vet is sharing your cup however bitter, beats drinking alone right.

As others have said here, it is really hard to tell.

The first three DRO's I filled were all completed in less than a year. This last one was filled Jan 2011 and we are comming up on two years. Last C&P was done June 2011, although they indicated they were getting additional medical information in late summer this year.

Hang in there, may the wait be worth it for you!

Thanks buddy, great insight. Looks like it varies from case to case even with the same vet as in your case.
