Dic Question

Question

i have a question for you and really would appreciate your responses.

i know the social security sends a 1099 each january, but does the veterans association send a 1099 each january? i receive dic each month.

thank you for your help in answering this question.

They usually send a letter with your DIC amount on it around this time of year.

I use the letter for my Property tax widow's exemption and my 1040 tax return stuff along with the SSA 1099 , etc.

hi all;

so if the dic is tax free, does that mean i will not receive a notification of the cola raise like social security does each january? i really thank you for your help.

You should get a notice of your new rate . . . . eventually.
