Adding A Secondary Issue To Current Claim

Rate this question

Question

I already filed a claim for PTSD in January. Would it slow down the process to add a claim for major depression & anxiety with a FDC ? Or should I wait and see what happens withe PTSD claim ? VA Psychologist diagnosed me with major depression & anxiety instead of ptsd. Prescribed 2 meds. for the depression & anxiety thru the VA.

I want to say that not all Anxiety is curable. If a person has physiological issues that causes Anxiety then as long as those physiological issues exist then Anxiety isn't curable. Anxiety can be both physiological and psychological. Trust me I know because I have Anxiety because of physiological issues. Its even written in my award letter. But, Anxiety is treated more by mental health which I find irregular because the professional hasn't separated physiological and psychological Anxiety. I don't know why they haven't.

USMCVET87,

The VARO's have access to all medical records within the VA system, if they have been done by VA doctors. You should of stated on your claim that you had additional medical documentation at another VA location. If not send them a 21-4138 and tell them so.
