Two Gulf War Army Vets Varo Cant Find Medical Records

Two Gulf War Vets VARO cant find medical records.....hmmmm!!

its just ironic these two served in Dessert Storm together and they been fighting for 10+ yrs on compensation and the "Medical Records " for there time period are not in St Louis or any VA records facility.

Please help me help them.

Were/are they guard?

If so, the biggest problem is getting record from prior units. May be an option to check with units. Jmho

If they are still guard the units will have them. Also, sometimes the units never release them to records managements center or national personnel records center in St. Louis. I was stating this might be an option if they were guard to go to stare units. The units are notorious for never sending strs that are requested. Jmho

no they are not in the Guard, They got out in mid 90's

This is NOT the NRPC in St Louis. this is another facility that the VA started using about 2 years ago when the previous occupants moved to Fort Knox, KY. I've been successful in locating medical records at that location.

Also, this is a long shot because of the time frame, but have the veterans contact the last military installation they were at, contact the hospital and check with the out processing facility. There are times when records get caught in the cracks and never leave, been down that road also.
