captain soggy
IT SUCKS and I guess my only solution is to see my Private Doctor to see if he will fill me a month supply. Anybody know how much Hydrocone cost without insurance? Approximately $ 16.00 for 30 days at walgreens. I use much cheaper Costco at approximately $ 10.00. I get a low dose so your cost may be a little more. You can go to most pharmacy internet sites and price the drugs they have. I found Costco to be the cheapest almost every time. HadIt.com Elder john999 Posted June 7, 2013 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted June 7, 2013 My VA pain doctors told me that if I could get Cymbalta all my worries would be over and no need for dope any more. Well, it is not true. I take Cymbalta and it helps take you mind of the pain but if you have severe pain the only thing that really works at least short term are opiates. Long term it is probably not so good. When VA gives you morphine when you ask for celebrex what can you do. Morphine Sulfate is cheap and Celebrex wasn't cheap. Methadone, oxycodone, percoset, and morhpine are all cheap. Oxycontin is not cheap I don't think so VA will not prescribe it. I don't know how I got Fentynal patches which don't even work that well. jcam786
I am actually seeing a private pain management doctor for the past 3 years. I was prescribed hydrocodone, from 6-8 a day, methadone- up to 100mg a day, then without warning the dea just came in and made the doc take everyones methadone and substitute it with other things. Well if you know about these meds there is a conversion. On 100mgs of methadone a day I should have been given 300-400 mgs of morphine sulfate I was given, but no.. I got 200. The Dea was to blaim for the entire situation because i was in the clinic and a suit and tie DEA guy was in a screaming match with doctor.. DEA was saying take them all away or we shut you down. Doctor was pleading that it wasn't his patients fault. So my current plan is to get my records/scripts from pain doc and take to VA and see what they'll do. I also live in California, Redding actually, and MMJ helps a lot so I'm concerned with that as well. ANyone any advice as far as any certain doc at redding clinic to avoid. I know some are totally against opiates. I actually only want to get some pain meds, not a bunch, because lately I'm finding I feel alot better overall on MMJ. Any advice is greatly appreciated. 63SIERRA
if the va keeps cutting people off, alot of folks will just say to heck with it, they can take thier pills and shove them, then people will just start smoking marijuana to relieve thier pain. I would think then, the va would start denying care, or denying compensation if one tests positive for marijuana.. we just cant win.
