Yesterday the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC) made a ruling that

all Veterans that served aboard U.S. Naval ships during the Vietnam War are

eligible to claim Diseases associated with exposure to Agent Orange/Dixon.

If you have been denied Service Connection (SC) for any one of the 12

conditions associated with AO/D then you must re-file. If you are a vet who

had his/her SC Comp pulled away from you that will be re-instated with

retro. Whether or not those who filed claims and were denied is unclear at

this time whether or not retro will apply?

You MUST have a diagnoses from a Medical Doctor whether it be a Civilian or

VA Doctor for the condition/s applied for.

A list of conditions can be found by typing Agent Orange on your search

engine. Click onto the sixth (6th link) listed. A picture of the C-123

"Patches" will be come up. Navigate through the web site.

Get yourself somebody to represent you! DO NOT GO IT ALONE!!!!!!!!!

I think VVA has the best people working for the benefit of Veterans, but

there other Veteran Service Organizations out there. HuH? VFW, A. Legion,

AmVets, Purple Heart, and quite a few others. To find a list of Vets

Organization, (VSO) that are authorized to file claims for vets go to

www.va.gov/forms type in the number 21-22 That is the form that is used to

appoint an Veterans Service Org to represent you scroll down to the second

page and you'll find a list of organizations that can represent you.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THIS SERVICE!

thanks TO PAUL FOR SENDING THIS GREAT NEWS TO US.

----------can anyone confirm-----I haven't gotten this news yet from my vet orgs------and it might not be at the CAVC site yet- too soon -I cant find it-

If this is true-----I AM GOING FISHING TO REJOICE-

This would be a tremendous VICTORY for vets- I griped about this to Sec Nicholson as soon as he took office and to all others in gov that might listen- -the Blue Water criteria excluded AO vets!!!!

I thank anyone who took the time to write to anyone at all in our gov on this issue-

and I feel like it is VETERANS DAY in a new way-

then again -this needs to be confirmed-as soon as I get conformation- I will post-

but I am sure getting out the dry flies!

Thank you to all who fought in any way over this!!!!!

Thank you to Joel our member here, to Laura Lilly, and to others here -you all know who you are-many of you helped them-

and you supported Blue Water vets with AO diseases.

If this is true- this is WONDERFUL!

Wonderful news and a wrong that may finally be righted. I wonder if the VA knows how many Blue Water Vets have died from Orange related symptoms?
