Other than person prepping for decision found something missing why would a claim go from "Prep for decision" back to "reviewing evidence?"

My claim did that several times, then it actually went back to gathering of evidence twice after prep for decision.

your claim can bounce around on e-benefits a lot like what you are talking about it could be something as easy as a signature that was forgotten or as time consuming as one whole contention was overlooked you never know for sure this is the time they are dotting the I and crossing the T

It will bounce back due to the VA raters needing more info or they want to double check something in your file. Happens to all of us bud.

Don't feel bad, I just checked mines today to see it went back to Gathering Evidence from Prep for Decision....just hold on

Checked today and it also went back to "Gathering evidence." Item required from others listed request to QTC.

Oct 2012 they acknowledged receiving the QTC Tinnitus & Hearing report so question is- What else can they be looking to get from QTC- or did they lose the report.
