Please post exactly, word for word, what is stated in the Reasons and Bases Section

of the rating decision, in regards to your denial of SC for PTSD.

Yeah...something's not right based on the info you posted. Was there any reason the VA could say your dx of PTSD was caused by anything other than your military service? Perhaps there was some other traumatic event in your life?? Stay strong and keep researching here. Thanks for your service Devil Dog. Semper Fi!

Keep your trap shut about any traumatic events that happened to you either before or after service! Don't tell anyone anything at the VAMC, or at C&P exam that you don't want to come back to haunt your 25 years later. Your life was perfect before the military, and shit afterwards because of traumatic events you experienced in the military. That is the story you should stick with unless you want blowback. I speak from experience.

john,

Is right on the money, I slipped one time while on active that something happened to me as a kid, and he tried to blame my PTSD on that. So since I was medically retired in Feb this year, I tell my new VA Psych Docs that my life was perfect till I joined the Navy. Good luck and God bless all.

I had a VA contract shrink lead me down the garden path about 25 years ago and I am still trying to deal with that. The VA has tried to use this one exam many times to destroy my CUE and to even challenge my service connection.

    • I would like to meet other Hadit members who live in Michigan.  We have at least two major VA Hospitals (Battle Creek, Ann Arbor).  Or maybe you go to the the John Dingell in Detroit.

I like Ann Arbor.  I like the fact that most of the doctors there are also at the UM Hospital.  I don't like how uickly they seem to turn over though.

    • Really?
I am confused.  A few days ago I spoke to a person at a VARO who said if I die from something other than service-connected my husband gets zero, zilch, squat.  Hmmmmmm, it seems the rules change willy-nilly...I have been rated 100% P & T for over 10 years, MS is static, and I am 56 years of age.

Can a fellow Veteran shed a light on this?

      Thank you.

    • Fund raising for HadIt.com
The site is supported through ads and ad free subscriptions, we are also asking for any support you would like to send our way. You can give a $1 or more it all helps. Keep in mind though that it is NOT tax deductible and we are NOT a non profit. As the site grows so do the costs and ads and subscription do not always keep pace with the costs. Any help is appreciated, but not required.
