Item From Appeal Closed - Next Steps?

Question

Good morning,

I noticed that one of my issues in appeal on eBenefits was now closed. Please help me understand the process: does the decision then come to me or back to the BVA? The decision was reviewed by a DRO at the local VARO (ATL). Also, my VSO said there is no change in conditions or percentages in the system. Would a rated condition show up that fast if the issue was closed on the 17th of Jan 2014?

Thanks to all!

Thanks, Phil - I'll try to stay positive until I see the paperwork. If denied, I don't think I want to go any further with it.

I really should do my homework first. In the remand it states:

"6. If a benefit sought on appeal remains denied, the AOJ shall issue a supplemental statement of the case." So, I'll wait to see if I get one.

Called the VSO at the VARO: said the DRO decided that this condition was actually already combined with a colon resection rating and that it does not warrant a separate rating. All this waiting for nothing. At least now that it is closed, they can proceed with the meat of the appeal. Maybe I should file for an increase?
