Tdiu Question

Question

If I am rated the followind would this be sufficient to meet tdiu reqirements?

50% hearing loss

10% tinitus ringing of ears

10% depression secondary to hearing loss

60% combined

Thanks for the response.

I know of someone who is 60% for hearing loss and 10% for tinntus who gets tdiu.

60% is a very profound loss of hearing. My most recent exam shows a 40 to 50% hearing loss rating

You are likely right.

One condition rated at 60 percent or combined with one minumum of 40 percent and a total of 70 are the rues.

A claim for IU is also a claim for increase so it is still feasable.

If indeed you are unemployable due to your s/c disabilities,then if the vba indeed raises your COMBINED ratings to the 60% then you will indeed be eligible for tdiu based on ratings being of ONE disability. Hearing loss,tinnitus and PTSD secondary, would be considered one disability of the common etiology. See 38cfr 4.160000

Ketchup. Thats wjst Im shooting for.

If I get 50% for hearing loss and my ten for tinittus plus 10 for depression secondary to hearing loss I.thought this would indeed be the same group and therefore suitable for tdiu.
