I should add that the claim has been with the BVA Level 4 or BLJ since Oct 1, 2013 but no activity or updates in the last 6 weeks. Before that every week or two it would be noted that the claim was with the BLJ.

When it comes to the Govt there is no timeline. I submitted my SSDI claim in Nov 2013, and I just found out I was approved after 4 months. My Twin Brother submitted an SSDI claim in June 2012, had his hearing in Dec 2013, and he still has not herd anything. Sorry this process is driving you crazy, as it does to all of us. Good luck and keep us posted.

At the BVA Hearing the Judge stated he would get my claims done in one month. Now that'sonth ago.

The BVA ALJ, MIGHT have gotten their part done in a month, but there would still be

more things to do for it to get completed.

BTW - at times, judges speak untruths.

Look at it like this - your the judge, you spend your days flying to different places

to hold hearings with claimants that are already pissed off and feel they have been

wronged.

You hear it over and over . . .

So, usually at the end of each hearing, the claimants in most cases ask -

Hey - when should I have some kind of answer ?

Remember - you are still face to face with the claimant . . .

Would you really want to look at them and say -

well I can't give you a date but, it should be sometime within the next

6 to 12 months.

Heck - it usually takes at least a month just for the hearing transcripts to get typed up.

Several procedures have to be followed but they usually do not tell us these things.
