What's a real old military retiree to do? Fewer and fewer doctors and clinics are accepting Medicare which negates TFL. One is no good without the other. It's like having a car and no gasoline or a gun without bullets.
And these clinics are not giving any advance notice. I showed up for my appointment last week only to be abruptly told that they no longer accept Medicare (even if TFL is the second payer). The receptionist handed me my records and advised me to go online and look for local "physician finders."
It looks like I'll be forced to throw myself on the mercy of the VA hospital.
