Vietnam era vets should be upset at this jump on the bandwagon bull$%&*-/brought on by stupid ass politicians, and fox news media personnel who have never wore the uniform dictating what's good for vets He was duped and lied to from inside his administration, just the same as congress,so why nobody in Congress is being forced to resign? Compare what Shenseki has done for vets compared to some of his predecessor's and form your opinion then. Vets be careful of what you ask for from dumb politicians you just might get more than you bargained for. That being said who do you replace him with, and what has this forced resignation accomplished? This is also not the first time Eric was forced out amid bull#$%-& political crap for stating true troop strength needed for the invasion of a trumped up war in Iraq. Myself being in his shoes would lose no sleep at night. JMHO

I belive he was "Misled by others"

CNN: "Shinseki, who has been VA chief for more than five years, said he was misled by others."

Shinseki said, "I was too trusting of some, and I accepted as accurate reports that I now know to have been misleading with regard to patient wait times," he said. "I can't explain the lack of integrity among some of the leaders of our health care facilities. This is something I rarely encounter during 38 years in uniform and so I will not defend it because it's indefensible, but I can take responsibility for it and I do."...

He goes on to say, "My personal and professional commitment and my loyalty to veterans, their families and our survivors was the driving force behind that decision," he said. "That loyalty has never wavered, and it will never wane." CNN

No more Veterans to run a complex medical organization. I believe they need a private large health care leader such as Kaiser, Banner Health etc to come in and deal with the VA issues .

I like S he served well and he is a devoted vet and I am sorry he got let go ..but lives are at stake. He was a great military leader but does not mean he can run a complex medical organization like the VA hospitals. PC
