Januvia And Lisinpril

Hey Friends,

I recently had to go to the Hospital with massive stomach pain which I thought was from Gerd. It turns out that I had Pacreatitis. The Doctors were questioning me and accused me of Alcoholism, Drug use, poor diet, devil worship you name it. In the end it was the Januvia and Lisinipril. My Amylase numbers were over 9,000, and normal is between 140 to 340. So be careful is my point.

Mike

The crazy thing about both of these meds is that you can take them for years and be completely asymptomatic. Yes, years! Then suddenly, surprise your body has gone haywire and you have to stop taking them. Mine put me in ICU for a week with angioedema in the throat. Let me tell you that being intubated is a pretty awful experience, especially when they remove the tube. I guess it affects everyone differently.

Definitely good of MikeR to give everyone the heads up about these meds.
