1% Percent Increase Or 1.8 % Percent Increse

Rate this question

Fat

Question

I saw an article where they are recommending a 1% percent cost of living increase for military veterans and federal workers.

The amount would automatically be 1.8% (for veterans) if Congress didn't act on it.

Has anyone heard anything similar?

I thought I read 1% on active federal employees and undecided on federal retirees, disabled veterans and social security recipients.

However, I may be wrong which will not be the first time. I agree with PR. Don't worry about because we have no control over it.

Its not what they say it is based on calculating 3 months of inflation. However 1.8 would not surprise me. I believe it when I see it.

Guys we are months from the CPI calculation from becoming official..........These are the months that you will see the good numbers pumped and the bad numbers hidden, if you don't understand this COLA thing is a farce, you have not been watching your pennies. We will get what they want us to have, not what it should be. With that said, I'll take mine and be good with it, and find another way to cut back on stuff I don't need.
