For whatever reasons, despite law and regulation, The VA likes to not assign P&T to younger veterans.

I have no idea if it's based upon 'they might get better", or simply that the additional benefits associated with P&T

amount to a fair amount of money, particularly if school age dependents are involved.

Awarded SSDI for the same condition is a basis for asking for P&T if nothing else can be used.

Congratulations, I would adjust your living standard within 3000 a month or what ever you receive if P&T 100 %. Work as long as possible and save the money from the job. Then file for P&T, if you get it great quit working// Figure out how much money you want to save is the first goal then do it. .

Got packet from VA today. They expect that I will get better in 18 months so I am scheduled for exams then. Funny how they list the decreases when each of my children turn 18 yet they expect me to get better. I am documenting everything and when they exam me again I will be fighting for P&T. I am also going to appeal a few things this go atound just taking a few months to enjoy what I do have. Got the big deposit today too. I was behind on some things and now I will be caught up. Enjoying the small victory but the war isnt over.

The date of the increase was back dated to a date they felt I was justified for increase, Even tho I filed in Feb they insist I should get it from Oct last year. I wont argue with them either.

Any benefits to being 100% and not P&T besides the money? I dont quite understand what I may be entitled to based on 100% and not P&T. Thanks

Very happy for your financial relief.

Partial list of benefits - be sure to verify any benefits or discounts before committing because I've found answers vary by the person: http://www.military.com/benefits/veteran-state-benefits/state-veterans-benefits-directory.html
