Housebound Or A&a

While out at VA last Friday trying to get prescriptions written by Medicare Docs I stopped by SO and asked a few questions about A&A or Housebound.

My diagnosis is Panic Disorder with agoraphobia and some new ones but the SO gave me some forms to get filled out by my Doctor. My question is can I just write the RO and ask why A&A or Housebound was not considered when I was granted 100% or would that be a mistake?

I don't think it would be a mistake to ask why the agoraphobia was not considered for housebound, but in the meantime file for the housebound SMC. I think it should be an inferred claim but you know the VA never does that unless the vet files a claim. Maybe I will file as well. I have agoraphobia on my last decision under Diagnosis: along with 4 other conditions. I think you will get some gobblygook as an answer but they should have considered you for housebound in my opinion. Maybe you can get retro SMC.

My original 100% T&P was awarded for diagnosis of Panic Disored/ Agoraphobia and 30% for Pes Planus or Flat Feet. The award was granted in October of 1996. Nothing was said about Housebound which agoraphobia basically means.]/size]

Look at your original decision, that awarded you 100% scheduar and see if they discussed housebound/A&A. If they didn't, write them a letter stating that at 100% schedular housebound/A&A are inferred issues and you are applying for them retroactive to the date of that original claim date, as that claim remains open.

I see that even though I was diagnosed with agoraphobia I was not rated 100% schedular so I guess I will have to prove housebound. I know there are forms to fill out by a doctor. Maybe I will ask next time I get to the VA and see my SO. I got back results from hearing test and I have hearing loss and tinnitus. Maybe every bit helps so maybe I will file a claim for that. Who knows the VA has me pissed off by continually losing my evidence and claims grrrrr. Because of my foot problems related to DMII I have muscular atrophy the doctor told me today. She said I was in bad shape. You know if just moving around is painful you start to get weaker because you do less. No one at the VA is concerned with any of this. I go to private doctors and get my therapy. My back is killing me because it is so painful to move around and I know this is weakness due to the complications of DMII but how do I prove it.
