Definitely. Although most of the pages are legalspeak, my favorite part is below:

It is right that after 70 years of pain and suffering, and 40 years of pursuit of an adequate administrative remedy, the time has come for equity to aid the diligent.

It's just a shame that a WWII Veteran has to fight the VA for 40 years to achieve justice.

A Vet should not have to fight for 4 months, let alone that long. Just don't know when the VA or the Govt is going to get their act together. If the VA would get it right the first time, there would be no need for the Appeals process back log.

Hey US Vet,

It used to be a lot worse. Prior to 2000, the VA had no duty to assist. The VCAA changed a lot of that to a degree. I remember how difficult claims were prior to the VCAA. The Veteran in the link was already fighting the VA for around 25 years before the VCAA was passed, and the VA continued to drag it out. I really hope he kept his claim alive over the duration so he and his family could collect retro.

I have helped a lot of Korean and Vietnam Vets with their Claims, and it makes me sick to see that they have been fighting for 40 years for simple crap to award SC for like Tinnitus and so on. Atleast in my opinion, I never get over the frustration.
