Chief: NFI! With that said, your the first post with any recent experience with Traveling board that I've viewed. I had a DRO Hearing, chose "Informal" and left the Hearing knowing what was awarded. Had a DRO Wriiten Decision that afternoon. Took about 2 weeks to get official VA Award Letter.

Could you share the timeline of your appeal and exactly how your BVA Hearing was handled? Were you Pro Se with or without VSO Appeal Specialist or an attorney? I decided on the DRO "Informal" after the DRO told me our back & forth discussion could become "Official Hearing Recorded & Transcribed" at anytime I chose. He also stated that it would be permissible for me to record the Hearing if I decided to go on the record. What was your gut feeling at the end of your Hearing? What did your Rep opine?

Chief: Forgot to ask, have you filed for IU? Did you receive "Inferred IU Claim Pending" with your last SC award?

MOJO: Excellanto! You report, we decide. I trust at this point you have all Ducks, I's dotted and T's crossed and everything should go your way, Best Wishes!!

Chief said the same thing about his BVA Hearing with a "Judge." My understanding of BVA Hearings, the panel is made up of VA Attorneys. It's not a big deal, attorney or a judge, he/she will render a decision. However. from an appelat point of view, Judges always seem ready to shoot down an attorney's legal position, whereas it seems to me, they are sometimes reluctant to go against another Judge's Legal Decision. Maybe, maybe not, just my thoughts. It will be very interesting to find out if you are given any indication of the final decision, during your Hearing. My limited 2014 BVA Decision research, it seems the Board is very heavy on Remands.
