70% Tdiu Without P&t Confusion

Question

I was awarded IU for 70% PTSD. My award letter doesn't mention anything about P&T and eBenefits says I'm scheduled for an exam in 2019. How does somebody get P&T with CHAMPVA benefits? I submitted my private doctor's medical statement that says I'm permanently disabled in his opinion. I guess VA ignored that part. Do I file a NOD? Those appeals take forever.

"I submitted my private doctor's medical statement that says I'm permanently disabled in his opinion. I guess VA ignored that part"

The doctor ahould have stated totally and permanently disabled solely due to your SC and give a medical rationale for that.

You could use that statement from the doctor, with your NOD.

P & T is a medical determination that is separate from a TDIU award.

Is NOD the same as appeal?

I believe the NOD is submitted at the lower level (VARO). The appeal is submitted to BVA the next highest level. Only after the NOD has been denied a second time at the VARO. IMO
