Gary –

Don’t be fooled by that canard that attorneys in private practice are less successful in VA claims than lay VSOs.

Most vets who come to the Board with a lawyer who did their father’s will or closed a real estate deal for them, but don’t know dip about veterans law. It’s amazing that they don’t lose more.

For who’s good in veterans law, go to NOVA’s website and select one. I use Bergman & Moore in Bethesda or Gaithersburg, MD, for a lot of appellate work and am happy with their results, as are veterans we refer to them. They are c/o Joe@veteranslaw.com.

But, whoever you select, make sure that, like Joe, he does work at the Regional Office and the Board and not just before the court. They are the real experts.

If you want to give me some names, do it b/c to me Alex.Humphrey@va.mail.gov and where you live. Since I do this work full time, I have a general idea who’s good and who’s not.

Alex
