A lot of information and much needed education , scary about family history. My family has lost members this year. This coming week when I see my primary doctor we will talk about family history and my symptoms, as always my wife will come along so I want forget some things. I will get a chance to see if things are better at the VA hospital or be there all day again lol

Hi, I'm hoping someone could help me out or steer me in the right direction. My father was in Vietnam at the time that Agent Orange was used.  He seemed pretty healthy most of his life except of a few issues with diabetes.  He was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis in his 60s.  Could whatever effect of Agent Orange lay dormant in his body all those years?  If anyone knows anything, let me know. Thanks - Mel's daughter

Hi MelsAngel,
Welcome to Hadit! I'm not familiar with his condition, but it might be possible. Perhaps if you created a new topic named something like "Can AO cause Transverse Myelitis?" and repeat your question it might help others more easily find your question and get some answers. Good luck!

I have had both Sarcoidosis and Castleman.

I know i was exposed to polychlorinated dibenzo-para-dioxins (PCDDs) and PCBs during a ship board fire but not agent orange.

my problem is finding a doctor that will back my claim as i have no money for the doctor.

also on your list there is fibromyalgia.

if you have a autoimmune disease its less likely you  have fibromyalgia but you have small fiber polyneuropathy.(SFPN)

same symptoms same medications that treat both.

but new research is showing that small fiber polyneuropathy mimics fibro and the old list of lab test that excluded other disorders when DXing fibro did not included a test for SFPN.
