Are The Vso's Ever Wrong?

Rate this question

Question

Good morning all.

My status jumped to "preparation for notification" two days ago. I called my VSO on file (VFW) and they said in the system it showed my service connection was granted at 60%. My question is since the claim is not in the "completed" phase is there a chance that what the VSO saw in the system could be wrong?

I guess I won't trust it is complete until I see the letter in ebennies.

Moior: The big brown VA envelope containing your Comp Award/Denial Decision will tell you everything you need to know. You should get it right around the same time that as your Retro Check is deposited in your Bank/CU account. Read the award carefully, chances are you got low balled on the rating and need to address it immediately.

As for, "Are VSO's ever wrong?" Trust but Verify everything! If someone is reading from your file, not too much chance for an error, MAYBE. Don't spend it, til you get it, Got It?

"It ain't over till the fat lady sings" Until you see money in the bank, and/or the letter, anything can happen.
