Hello,

Just a quick question.

I originally filed my claim in August 2012 and just saw my retro pay show up in Ebenefits.

After doing the calculations, it is reflecting 24 months and not the 28 or 29 month as it should.

Any clue what causes this?

Without seeing the actual decision, I can't offer an opinion. It is possible the VA erred, tho. I would calculate 26 months. You get nothing for August. September is paid on October 1st and December 2014 hasn't ended yet. Then again, I've been known to err, making me human! jmo

Ah ok, that sounds right. So basically when you get paid, you are being paid for the last month and not the current month.

So is the retro pay seperate from the normal monthly payments meaning I should still be paid again soon for the normal monthly pay?

Yes, they always pay after the end of the month, on the first of the next month, except when the first is on a Sat/Sun or holiday, in which case they pay on that Friday or the day before the holiday, such as this Wednesday, the 31st.

Yes, you should get a deposit on Wednesday, Dec 31st.

I just logged into Ebenefits again and now it shows 2 retro payments made. Is this normal? The one was showing this morning, now another one. I guess they must be doing adjustments.
