Individual Unemployability (TDIU) or (IU) Fact Sheet

Individual Unemployability (IU) is a part of VA’s disability compensation program that allows VA to
pay certain Veterans compensation at the 100% rate, even though VA has not rated their serviceconnected
disabilities at the 100% level.
This fact sheet answers a lot of the common questions and worth a look.

Good post, Tbird!! I noticed they state that a claimant "can work" provided it's considered marginal employment. I'd be cautious w/that. I suppose you could work part-time at a fast food place or WallyWorld, until you went off the deep end, like Michael Douglas in "Falling Down!"

Buck,

I have been on a little less than usual the last few days. Just have not had as much time to get on line. Had to go for some pre-op tests at hospital in Atlanta. Having some throat and nose surgery this coming Monday to open up my airways better.

Hope everything is going well for you.
