Question

I am filling out my 4140 and have a question about how much information to attach to this form. I have been 100% P&T for 12 years and this is the first time that I have ever received this form. I did not know about it. I have not worked until this past year. I worked a total of 13 hrs for the year in Jan, Apr, Jun, and Jul. My total income for this time was 325.00. The reason I worked those hrs was to get out of the house as my world is becoming very small. I don't leave the house for days at a time. My friend owns the business and she allows me this special treatment. I had to be on the payroll for liability purposes. Should I explain all this in a letter along with the 4140 or just fill in the blanks? Sometimes too much info causes problems.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

I would just answer the questions asked--period. Nothing more or less. You were not "gainfully employed" according to the official DOL/VA standard. Chin-up!

Agrred with Oldnavy- I don't think this is anything to worry about; just answer it truthfully.
