    Have Questions? Get Answers.

Tips on posting on the forums.

    1. Post a clear title like ‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery instead of ‘I have a question.

    2. Knowledgeable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title.
I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on.

    3. Use paragraphs instead of one massive, rambling introduction or story.

Again – You want to make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph, there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.

    Leading too:

exclamation-point.pngPost straightforward questions and then post background information.

    Examples:

    • Question A. I was previously denied for apnea – Should I refile a claim?
      • Adding Background information in your post will help members understand what information you are looking for so they can assist you in finding it.
Rephrase the question: I was diagnosed with apnea in service and received a CPAP machine, but the claim was denied in 2008. Should I refile?

    • Question B. I may have PTSD- how can I be sure?
      • See how the details below give us a better understanding of what you’re claiming.
Rephrase the question: I was involved in a traumatic incident on base in 1974 and have had nightmares ever since, but I did not go to mental health while enlisted. How can I get help?

This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”

    employment 2.jpeg

You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons … Continue reading

Maybe this is why they dont have time to work on my claims. I bet this isnt the only one doing it.

Heres a question, surely there had to be many signatures above this rater who signed off on over 600.00 dollars of retro payment,? this makes me wonder if she was the only one involved??

I aint buying that nobody else there knew what was going on, over a half million dollars doesnt walk out of the regional offices that easy. Hopefully the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone know where we can find transcripts of the court case? I would think it is public information?

63SIERRA,

www.txwd.uscourts.gov/General/reporters.asp

Ms. Kristine Davis is the official court reporter assigned to Judge Smith who handled this case. You can call her at 254-754-7444 and arrange to get a copy of the transcript or you can go to the website listed above and you will find a link to request a transcript copy.

Hope this helps.

So, what is going to happen or what has happened to those veterans who received all that backpay? She lied to them and they gave her a fee amount. Do these veterans she lied to have to pay all that money back? This story is not finished IMHO.

THIS is why its so hard for legit Veterans to win their rightful benefits:

"Galloway (VA employee) also used her job to submit and backdate a forged VA application for benefits for a family member, records show. She opened a post office box as part of her scheme so she could intercept VA correspondence to the family member.

Galloway also fraudulently rated a claim for another veteran and received $154,000 from the veteran the day after the veteran received his retroactive VA payment of $386,753, according to the records."

When fraud like this happens at WACO, you can be just about certain it happens in other regional offices. Change the names, dates, and RO, and you will have scams like this repeated over and over. This is why they deny and delay real Vets benefits.

Yep, after all she did apologize to her family for all the stress of waiting for their booty.

Yes im sure she will be writing apology letters to all the veterans during her stay at club fed.. maybe we should send her some stationary and a nice pen?

Many times when the GUBMINT gets DUPED,, they try real hard to sweep it under the rug, after bringing one sacrificial Lamb to the offering of attonement alter.

I would bet a crispy 100 dollar bill, that shortly after the roach is released from club fed, she will have a cush federal job somewhere.

I agree and surely it affects veterans claims because they are likely denying vets comp, so that the final yearly number of monies that gets awarded is not elevated.. Surely there is a bean count that has to jive. How many claims did this woman wrongfully deny, in order to make the 600.000 she stole fly below the radar?

Woke up to read about this. Totally disgusting. What happened to all those hang em and fry em judges. This is just making me sick. A crying shame. What's worse is that money that got swindled most likely left a Veteran broke or to loose their house and God forbid what else.

Notice this, from the article:

Galloway, the VA employee, stole

ONE for retroactive VA payment of $386,753

and

another retro of : $261,683 retroactive payment

For a total of $ 648,436 Stolen from Veterans.

How much restitution? fined $1,000 and ordered to pay $154,400 in restitution

This means Vets are still "out" almost a half million dollars, that the crook gets to keep.

Her 46 months in jail time means she gets to keep 494,036 , which means she "earns"

$10,700 per month for each month of jail time. Crime does pay at the VA.
