IRIS has worked like that for me for quite a while, probably more than a year. It takes at least three to five weeks for a response. Sometimes, if I'm in a back-and-forth, I'll get something back the same day. Usually it's weeks, though, and usually pretty close to a month.

I hope for all, the claims or appeals land in a ex vet hand or a very caring person, who has a heart for helping and not hindering veterans from getting their due va rewards. Keep working and working, until you get what is suppose to be awarded for your service to this Great Country. I won my appeal back in July 2014 for ptsd and panic disorder and I am still waiting to hear from the regional office now. It has been seven long months. Is the road close to the end? I pray and hope so! Me and my wife and kids could use some good news for a change. And many other vets out there could too.

Every time I send IRIS a message it is at least a month. Heck the last one I got wasn't even a new message. They re-sent the same message that they sent six months before.

"IRIS" has gone downhill almost as fast as "peggy". The twins have largely been taken over by "Allie"...Allison Hickey. It serves VA right to have the bosses have to answer when IRIS and Peggy should be able to do the job, but aren't.

I think its largely a "pass the buck" problem. No one wants to actually "do" anything at VA to fix any of Veterans problems until Allison Hickey or Ronald McDonald insist on it.

Allison and Robert should not be fixing these things..they should be telling the RO directors to fix them BEFORE Vets have to email Bob and Allison. Its a middle management problem.

You are definitely correct that these regional directors should be demanding that these things be corrected and not passed all of the way to Robert or Allison. It took me sending an e-mail to get my claim moving after 8 years total and 5 appealing to the BVA with it still at the RO.
