Start checking your "Benefits Summary Letter" found in "Downloadable VA Letters" on ebenefits. Any change in your rating status will usually be shown here before you receive the BBE. Also, keep checking your direct deposit account for your retro. Veterans sometimes receive their retro before they receive their BBE.

You can call 1-800-827-1000 to verify they have your direct deposit info. You are better off calling at night when the call volume is down. Often you will receive a recording asking you to leave your number and they will call you back.

Good luck to you and thank you for your service.

This is serious, and I would recommend follow up. Your direct deposit information should not be deleted.

It could mean:

1. You have been appointed a fiduciary.

2. You have been hacked.

3. Something else.

The VA is not a "unified body". There are 57 RO's which each go their own way. So, we dont know. You need to wait for a decision letter, but I would try some followup, like I suggested. Did your doc say you were capable of handling your own finances? That is the key issue.
