Filing A Claim Through Ebenefits Or Regular Mail

Question

Hi HadIt. I would like some input on the best way to file a claim. In your opinion is using ebenefits user friendly or is it best to just mail a claim in. I know that if mailing in a claim I should be sure to send it registered and request a return receipt to verify that it has been received by the VA.

Also, does ebenefits have a file upload limit. I have maybe 100 pages of documents to send. Would it be best if I scan all 100 sheets together to be sent to ebenefits at the same time or should I break the documents down and scan may 50 pages at a time and send it in that way.

Thanks for any response and suggestions you may have.

godelocs,

Ebenefits has a history of crashing and being down when you need it. Personally, my preference would be to hand deliver it and have my copies dated stamped at the RO. If hand delivering it is not possible, I would send it certified mail return receipt requested.

I personally would submit the information thru the your VSO.

They keep records of items mailed and sometimes they upload the information.
