If your having problems with feeling tired all the time and fall to sleep anywhere you go when being still,

Ask doc to do a B-12 test see if your B12 is low?

I started out feeling a tingling in my fingers and neck and just ignore it (thought pinch nerve or something) but it got worse and I had no energy and always tired for no reason and fall to sleep just about anywhere,, the tingling got worse into my legs and feet and my feet started to swell and feel hot.

got check for B12 and I was way low,1 to 10 (I was a 3) they did all kinds of test and was going to do a Bone marrow and check for a form of leukemia? further testing they found I didn't have my ''instric factor'' that's the carriers in your or above the stomach that takes the B-12 From the foods you eat and sends in it into your bloodstream...I don't have ''my instric factor'' to do that Hench the B-12 injections.

The Dr said they don't know a medical term why someone loses there 'instric -factor other than if they were heavy alcohol drinkers or some form of Leukemia...I never did drink much just socially and I don't have Leukemia.

If I don't take the B-12 injections I get really tried....even with lots of rest.

Just thought I'd mention this.

Currently I take a 20mg fluoxetine and a 100mg bupropion in the morning and the same again in the afternoon.

I don't have a history of heart problems. I read the studies and it concerns me, but I also read some material that challenges that.

I guess I'll take the first round and see what it does for (or to) me.

They want me to schedule every two weeks. That's surely more comveniemt for them, but if it works for me I definitely want to take the smaller doses more frequently.

I graduated in and taught P.E. and kept myself in shape, but the energy and motivation is long gone. I resumed not long ago and got no results at all and faded off it again.

I regularly have days where I only get out of bed to go to the bathroom. I usually have my cereal and V8 to keep me somewhat regular but it's a strain to get up to eat again. I try to keep pizza around to re-heat. My wife cooks or brings something home sometimes.

If I find the energy with the injections I hope to capitalize on it by starting a new lifting program for strength.

I was prescribed the injections and it did not seem to help me at all. My wife did not notice anything either. Maybe it was not for me. It did bring up my levels but still have no energy, motivation, etc. But I'm assuming that is from PTSD and depression. I used to do everything until knees went back and symptoms of mental disorders came creeping in. I know exactly about wanting or staying in bed all day or saying oh will do that tomorrow, etc. key thing is to find the root of the problem and it's hard with PCP just handing out different drugs and come back 6 months later instead of sending you to a specialist or actually sitting down with you and spending time getting to the root of the problem and work from there.

All comments are interesting and appreciated. I currently use the T gel, and have no contamination problems. Sure, it would also go into wifey if I put it on my belly and then peeled off my clothes and cuddled up to her. This is why I rub it on my neck. Very rarely does anyone ever touch my neck.

I will comment on WHY there are so many of us who have low T.Plastic is just about everywhere and we consume food out of plastic daily. EVERYTHING is wrapped in plastic, almost, that we eat. I am not the only one who thinks low T and plastic are related, read links below.

I have noticed some improvement over my symptoms of low T by reducing the amount of food I consume exposed to plastic. For example, I drink water and liquids out of a glass, not a plastic cup. My bowls are all porcelein, as are my plates. No plasticware to lick and get more PCB's. And, I eat more fresh fruits and veggies and always ask for paper bags. I can not get rid of plastic/PCB's, but can reduce them.

I suspect plastic and PCB's are a major culprit as to why so many couples are not able to conceive. Many years ago, before the plastic revolution, infertility was much more rare. We drank soda's out of glass bottles. I was in Mexico, and Coca Cola is still available in glass returnable bottles there. Its much, much better than a soda out of an aluminum can or plastic bottle. One of the natives pointed that out to me, and you really can taste the difference.

I found this ONE link on testorone-plastic link:

What were your blood levels like on injections? I couldn't agree with you more about the PCP! We must have the same one or it's just rampant at the VA cause that's exactly how mine treats me. Last time he ordered blood tests and told me he'd see me in 6 months... Maybe, just maybe, you'd want to discuss the results with me when they come in versus waiting 6 months?!?

I would go get second opinion from outside Specialist Dr...and then compare the results....if a lot different from your VA PCP and more important to your health OR Contradictive

Then Go see your VA hospital Director show both reports and ask him is this the way VA Dr's should treat us veterans?
