HadIt.com Elder Buck52 Posted July 5, 2015 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted July 5, 2015 (edited) Check your Bank Account!you should get back pay from May 1st 2014 to 7- 1 2015 at $$ 822 15 total of 14 months. that should be your original award date!and your first check for compensation will be 7- 1- 2015 at $$ 1551.48 for your 1st month and 14.28 adjusted col ( cost of living) rate from Dec 1st 2014 to 7-12015They should total these up and make adjustments for the COL. you should get a pretty good size reto payment...that is if you never been getting any compensation at all? I never seen the VA do this before? However I ain't perfect and I could have it all wrong?this is just my opinion ...................Buck Edited July 5, 2015 by Buck52
bluelotus
Thanks for your input Buck. I'm wondering if this had anything to do with the fact that I started a claim but didn't have my daughter's info and my divorce decree so I kinda gave up on it until I got to MN, in July. I was only expecting retro from Jan to June but if it goes back that far, that's even better!!
