I got a call this evening from a severely disabled veteran that followed the advice and information on Hadit to stop the VA's proposed

fiduciary appointment.  The VA held his retro, and proposed a fiduciary.

He was able to obtain and use a written statement from his treating doctor to stop the fiduciary process. Now he is just waiting

for the release of the retro. I had to tell him that the VA follows it's own schedule for doing such things, and that there is not a real defined date

to expect the payment. It might be quite short, or several weeks if things go the way they usually do.
