Brothers and Sisters - Our CarlieCash had a heart attack Thursday and flatlined at home, 911 was able to get a heartbeat again, but to much time had passed. She is in a coma and recovery is not possible. Her wife Lucy has been handed the difficult task of letting her go and her decision is to wait until Veterans Day to honor Carlie and to let her go to her reward then. I am sure that Lucy and Carlie would appreciate all prayers and kind thoughts sent their way. I am heartbroken.

Their address

Lucy Croft

1702 - 55th St So
Gulfport, FL 33707

Carlie was born on October 8,1956.

I found the last discussion I had with her on DOMA but they will not have the required one year marriage requirement in for DIC for Lucy...that is awful....Carlie was always so concerned about her partner.....

I dont think Florida is a common law state either.......VA does recognize common law marriages in the common law states.

This is so sad.

Carlie,

May you receive the reward that God has for you, for your undying service and loyalty to this great nation "under God", and to all the Veterans here on Hadit.com.  I never met you, nor conversed with you, but I have reaped the benefits of your shared knowledge, here on Hadit.com.  I salute you, great and mighty warrior!  I will be praying for your spouse, Lucy, that God will shower her with mercy and grace, and will provide her financial blessings beyond her own imagining.  I look forward to the day, I get my reward in heaven, that I may greet you, and thank you for all that you have done for the Hadit family.

Semper Fi.

We are the same age 58. Carlie was a loyal member and a dear personal friend. She cared deeply about our community and put veterans first every time and hadit.com members were first in her heart. It's a terrible loss for all of us and future veterans.
