Brothers and Sisters - Our CarlieCash had a heart attack Thursday and flatlined at home, 911 was able to get a heartbeat again, but to much time had passed. She is in a coma and recovery is not possible. Her wife Lucy has been handed the difficult task of letting her go and her decision is to wait until Veterans Day to honor Carlie and to let her go to her reward then. I am sure that Lucy and Carlie would appreciate all prayers and kind thoughts sent their way. I am heartbroken.

Their address

Lucy Croft

1702 - 55th St So
Gulfport, FL 33707

My heart is breaking. I am a long time lurker but have never posted. My anxiety keeps me from reaching out, but I have found the strength to step out of my shell to say this:  Please know, that the members of Hadit who work so tirelessly to help us all with your guidance, just how much you are greatly appreciated.  This also goes for every other member of this virtual community.

Carlie, you will be sorely missed. However, you left us all - and millions more veterans and their loved ones a gift - and that is your wisdom we can all continue to go back to and depend upon.

Such sad news to hear. Carlie was a fighter and a Vets best friend. Her personality and caring with those in needs of guidance showed on this board every time she posted.

Our thoughts are with Lucy, Carlie will be forever with us and her wisdom will continue on Hadit for others to learn from.

I was so saddened to hear about Carlie. She was so good to me and when I ended up  nearly dying in 2010 from an Agent Orange Ischemic Heart Attack , Carlie was checking in on me during my recovery to see how I was doing. She helped me a lot with claims issues and questions and was a well of Veteran information pertaining to claims. For those of you who maybe did not get a chance to know her or to benefit from her VA knowledge and resourcefulness and the way she tried to help our Veterans, we have lost a true friend to all Veterans , not just myself. Prayers are needed for her family and kindness to them. NEVER GIVE UP. C.C.
