Ebenefits is less reliable than an alcoholic, druggie teenager working at McDonalds.  You have 2 choices:

1.  Wait and see if you get any sort of "review" in the mail.

2.  Try finding out by emailing IRIS (nearly as unreliable as ebenefits), calling Peggy (even less reliable), or visiting your VARO and taking your chances.  The only thing reliable at VA is you can count on them not telling you the truth eventually.

3.  Oh, I forgot.  You can also contact your VSO who will likely want you to become a "life member" in his organization, take your POA, and then not return your calls.

While you may get some answers from one of the above, you wont know how relaible any of them are until you get your decision and money in the bank.

I to have a status of RATING REVIEW in EBENEFITS since last Monday. I filed NOD and had my hearing on 21 Sept. I rec'd my decision on 13 Nov in the Mail SC SLEEP APNEA GRANTED. I called va 1000 number and they were still waiting for the letter from BVA. I am assuming that they are calculating my increase back to 2011. I could be wrong but, that is the only thing I have on ebenefits. Good Luck.

Actually it could be a good thing  they maybe looking at your Hearing test that show a substantial loss of hearing?

The VA has raters that look at things like that   if you filed a claim for hearing loss and was approved for 10% tinnitus, but no % for hearing loss  but you was SC for hearing loss at 0%  they might be looking more into that/if you do get a % for hearing loss be sure and check the EED  If they give you a %rating it also could be a CUE FOR NOT Rating you correct the first time....always think Positive.

Sometimes they may state that a condition is temporary and they expect it to improve, so they schedule you for a new appointment some time in the future. This is usually stated in your original award letter.

I remember receiving a letter for a regular VA appointment (not C&P). I went to the appointment and the doctor asked what seems to be the problem. I told him the usual and wondered why I had an unsolicited appointment. While I was there, they gave me a once over, so it wasn't an entire waste of time.
