VBMS verification of SR & SMR documents

Is there a way to verify what SR-SMR records are contained in a veterans VBMS database on ebennies , as to all the evidence the veteran has on hand...?

Sorry but I have played HAVOC trying to get on this website to answer your question.  A majority of veterans are not aware that your VA file is your property and as such you can ask to read it or see it.  Make an appoinment with your local Regional Office and ask to see your file. I know this is simplistic but you have a right to know what is there.  You will find your SMR there at the bottom of the middle (it comes in three sections) even though half the time they ask you to request them from St. Louis.  Hope that helps.    Q
