Docket

Question

well after checking e benefits i see my appeal status went from administrative processing to being assigned a docket number and waiting to be assigned to vlg. This is confusing as i have known my docket number for 2 years. And why does it say waiting to be assigned to vlg. I thought the vlg who conducted your hearing is the judge assigned to your appeal

RU, At Ease, Please, for all our MH!

I've never been to the BVA, don't want to got to the BVA.

I recently (9or10/15) did read VA Lawyer Chris Attig's interview with a presiding VLJ at the BVA. Very informative and might shed some light that may or may not help those of you awaiting outcomes to your BVA Appeals.

The only thing I can directly attest to, as any of you should also be aware of if you've reviewed any number of BVA Decisions listed for the past 3 or 4 yrs, Docket Number has no real relationship in regards to how fast a Hearing is held or a Decision is made. It only indicates that the RO has Certified your Appeal as ready for the BVA. The assigning of the Docket # only places your appeal in the large pile for that year.

I think a better indicator of an actual up-coming Hearing would be the "90 Day N & M Evidence Cut-Off" notification from the BVA, but what do I know.

You Report, I decide.

Gastone, that was my VL Judge this last April-Sept. 2015.  He even granted me advancement on the docket because I'd been playing VA poker for the last 26 years. Vito Clemente. Great guy. Gave me 100% for Porphyria and the ILP greenhouse.

If I may play amateur Psychologist NON-Phd, based on my extensive, well maybe not extensive, PTSD Group Therapy experiences.

Any Vet that finds themselves constantly Pissed Off and always questioning the veracity of the VA and fellow Vets that are trying to offer assistance based on personal knowledge and experience, really needs to touch base with their VA MH Clinician. Something in the treatment plan isn't working.

Always being down is not good, VA MH Group can help. A Vet owes it to his family, friends and to himself to try to get his head Un-Fracked.

Happy New Year

This thread was  completely hijacked by someone who refuse to accept good information from people who have been good at helping other vets through the VA maze. I like to thank  ASKNOD and BERTA for the great advice that they have given us over the years and hopefully if anyone in  the future feels the need to attack the very hand that's giving this knowledge to us vets then he should feel free to stay off the site. God Bless
