  • Trouble Remembering? This helped me.

I have memory problems and as some of you may know I highly recommend Evernote and have for years. Though I've found that writing helps me remember more. I ran across Tom's videos on youtube, I'm a bit geeky and I also use an IPad so if you take notes on your IPad or you are thinking of going paperless check it out. I'm really happy with it, I use it with a program called Noteshelf 2.

  • Can a 100 percent Disabled Veteran Work and Earn an Income?

    employment 2.jpeg

You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons … Continue reading

Question

The VA hospital I go to only offers Viagra (4 pills) I would rather Cialis but they don't offer it there. I have seen vets on the internet that claim they receive cialis from the VA. The latest VA formulary http://www.pbm.va.gov/nationalformulary.asp doesn't have CIalis (tadalafil) listed, it does however have Viagra (sildenafil) listed . I just got my private doctor to give me a 30 day supply (5mg cialis 30 pills) but wouldn't give me any refills because he says since I'm now exclusively being treated at the VA he wouldn't help me out with further refills. Does anyone have any information? Can my VA doctor give me a prescription for a non VA pharmacy or do I need to go to a different VA hospital? And does the VA even prescribe Cialis or is that an urban legend? Thank you

Marine0816, like I said, needing 30 pills; YOU THE MAN. I've heard that some women, not mine of course, actually dislike their men having too great of access to V or C.

Gastone, sometimes you just crack me up!

RW, copy that. Remember the days of the old "Diamond Cutter?" We thought they'd never end. Went from walking around with a "Deadly Weapon," to a "DEAD WEAPON."

God certainly has a sense of humor.

There are many drugs that are NOT on the formulary because the VA has classified them as non-formulary (Non-formulary drugs means the drugs that are not included in the list of preferred medications that a committee of pharmacists and doctors deems to be the safest, most effective and most economical. They are drugs not included in the drug list approved by the health care plans.) but they are available IF the doctor request and gives the "reason" and if the pharmacy agrees then that's it.  However if the pharmacy does deny you can appeal.  That being said not ALL VA Pharmacy's carry ALL non-formulary drugs so it'll be up to your doc, availability and the pharmacy.

I use a pill splitter on a cpl of my meds, never had a real problem, even with the V. I buy a new splitter every couple months, pretty cheap. Must be pretty accurate on the V, never had to go to the Emergency Room with a 4+ hr erection problem.

I am so far gone that a full pill does not do the job let alone 4 hours.  Those days are long gone.
