Question

X occupational and social impairment with reduced reliability and productivity

Active symptoms reported by Dr:

x depressed mood

x chronic sleep impairment

x mild memory loss, such as forgetting names etc.

x flattened affect

x difficulty in establishing and maintaining effective work and social relationships

x difficulty in adapting to stressful circumstances , including work or a work like setting

I realize that my occupational and social impairment was checked at the 50% level, but some of my symptoms are 70%. Does it look like I still have a strong shot at 70%?

Thanks!

Ok, so you are SC at 50 percent and going for 70%.

Did you read the criteria, thoroughly, and read your medical exam reports, thoroughly?

Did a doc say your condition worsened (since your last C and P exam)?  This is important.  This is significant.  If you dont have documentation that your symptoms actually got worse, then its hard to justify an increase or they would have given you the higher rating earlier.

What about your work situation?  Are you working?  Remember the higher levels (70 and 100percent)  of mental health disorders, both suggest a significant occupational impairment (Total at the 100% level).

If you are working and earning good money, its hard to say you have a significant occupational impairment.

However, if you can not work/do not work/ are  "unemployable" (not just unemployed) due to sc conditions then you proabably are 100 percent or IU.
