Just approved for CPAC machine!!!

I just received a call from the va and they wanted to know when i could come in for my CPAC machine. I Did a 3 day home sleep study (because our va don't do that in house) requested by my va mdd doc and apparently it was approved.  After i get the machine what next?

I went through about 4 different masks until I found one that was comfortable.  Almost all of them "leaked".   The solution was to use mask liners.  The VA will provide them and ship them to you when you run out.  The CPAP was beneficial in another way in that it cut down on the nightly bathroom visits.

Thanks Todd,  Bathroom visits is not a problem with me, it's just the absolute tiredness i wake up with each morning. I guess this is because of the SA. I always thought it was because of my loving wife waking me up 10 times a night saying roll over because of my snoring LOL.

Be sure to keep it clean, I soak my mask and hose in some shampoo hot water for couple hours  and then rinse out about 3 times and hang up and let dry..I do this 3 times a week & wipe off the mouth piece with some  fresh scent sanitized  hypoallgenic & alcohol free flushable wipes  right before bed.

clean your water reservoir daily....don't use abrasive soaps   rinse out with hot water and tab dry or let dry alone and wipe off with clean towel.

Its important to keep your mouth  mask  & hose clean....either one you choose.

I have an appointment with my MH doc tomorrow that prescribed my sleep study. I'm going to try to have this SC to my Depression because during my active duty time i complained about memory loss and tiredness.  I'm  going to ask questions like: could sleep depravation incurred during depressive episodes be caused by SA? Or Could my SA or my lack of good sleep be connected to my Depression?  Let's see what he puts in his notes then i can on my next appt. try to redirect my question to fit better into a nexis.

Is your MH Dr a Psychiatrist?  NP? PA?

while your there you may want to go to the sleep clinic and ask to see your sleep clinician/Dr /specialist and ask these questions   if your MH Dr don't.
