Board of Veteran Appeals

Question

Twelve months ago, I filed a form 9 and I have an appeal headed to the BVA for right knee.

Recently got an Independent Medical Opinion which is pretty favorable.

Can I submit the IMO to the regional office now or should I wait until I'm contacted by the BVA?

I don't want my appeal to the BVA delayed if I send in new evidence.

I would send a copy of it to your VARO, with a 21-4138 explaining what claim it is for to the RO but it might be too late for them to even consider it.( past the SOC response time frame?)

But as soon as you get a BVA docket Number, send copy of it to the BVA as well , with a cover letter regarding the docket number and check with the BVA ombudsman by email to make sure they have it.
