Lol, well, I thought about a complex response for about five minutes and then just decided to keep it as simple as possible.

Everyone who responded is indeed correct. The blanket assumption now is that anyone who used or uses opiates is automatically an addict. I realize there is a very real possibility that it could happen, but there is nothing stopping people from getting addicted to other substances. I often wonder how much extra funding was requested by the VA because of this...
